Legends Trading Review 2026: $227 Futures Evals & EOD Drawdown
Firm Details

Is This Firm For You? (The Persona Match)

Stop the user from guessing. Tell them immediately if they fit.

Yes, join if:

You trade index futures intraday

Legends is built for CME futures day traders. You get Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, Sierra Chart and Quantower, with contract limits from 2 minis on a $25k Elite up to 12 minis on a $150k Elite.

You want the cheapest way in

A $100k Elite evaluation lists at $227 as a one-off payment, with no activation fee. That works out at $2.27 per $1,000 of account size, less than half the sector average.

You want a route to real capital

Legends says traders move to a live funded account after their second payout and keep the 90/10 split. Many futures firms keep funded traders on simulated accounts for good.

No, avoid if:

You trade CFDs or FX on MetaTrader

This is a futures only firm. There's no MT4, MT5, cTrader or spot FX, and no crypto or single stock CFDs.

You hold positions overnight

Positions have to be flat before the session close (around 4:59pm ET according to third party reviews). Swing traders will find this firm frustrating.

You run several accounts in opposite directions

Holding long in one Legends account and short in another at the same time is banned. Traders report accounts closed over overlaps of a few seconds.

The Propify Reality Check Audit

We don't just list features; we interpret the risks.

⚠️ The "Hidden Rule" Detector

The Cross Account Hedging Trap

The Rule

You can't hold a long position in one Legends account and a short position in the same or a correlated market in another account at the same time. The 2025 help centre lists this alongside flipping, spoofing and exploiting simulator fills.

The Reality

Legends enforces this strictly. Trustpilot and PropFirmMatch reviewers describe accounts closed for overlaps as short as 11 seconds, and for an "exposure violation" on MNQ. Penalties range from a warning to deleting the trading day, a reset or closing the account.

Propify Pro Tip

If you run several accounts, trade them in the same direction or use one account at a time. Copying trades across accounts with a trade copier is safer than managing them by hand, but check the current copy trading policy in the dashboard first.

💸 Payout Speed Test

Their Claim

"Once you meet the consistency rule, you can request payouts, up to twice per month."

Propify Verified

UNVERIFIED

Our Data

Payouts are being made. PropScorer tracks 11 payouts worth around $18,000, and Trustpilot reviewers report being paid. The speed claim is harder to confirm. Under the 2025 help centre policy, requests made on the 1st to 5th were paid on the 15th, and requests made on the 15th to 20th were paid at month end. That's a wait of up to two weeks, well short of the same day payouts some rivals advertise.

⚡ The News Trading Scenario

Scenario

It's NFP Friday. Can you trade?

On Evaluation

✅ YES. The 2025 help centre listed no blackout days on evaluations, and the plans page shows no news restriction.

On Funded Account

⚠️ CAUTION. Third party reviews report that tier 1 news trading is prohibited on Apprentice Master accounts, while Elite Master accounts allow it. Verify in dashboard before trading the release.

Pro Tip

The rules differ by account type, so check which Master account you hold before 8:30am ET. If you're on an Apprentice Master, sit out the release and trade the reaction once the tier 1 window has passed.

Editor's Verdict: The No-Hype Review

Our View: Is Legends Trading the Right Choice?

Legends Trading launched in February 2023 and is run by Legends Trading Group, Inc. from Calabasas, California. The site doesn’t name its owners. Public profiles name Greg Khojikian as CEO. He also runs GFF Brokers, a futures introducing broker and NFA member in the same building, which fits the firm’s claim to be built on “a solid foundation in futures brokerage”.

There are two routes in, both single step. Apprentice is a monthly subscription for $50k, $100k and $150k accounts, with no consistency rule during the evaluation and the option to pass in a single day. Elite is a one-off payment for $25k to $150k accounts. It has no activation fee, but a 40% consistency rule applies. Neither plan has a daily loss limit during the evaluation. Both use an end of day trailing drawdown.

Pricing is aggressive. A $100k Elite lists at $227, or $158.90 with the current LTG code. A $100k Apprentice costs $107 a month plus a $129 activation fee, so passing in the first month costs $236 before discounts. There are no refunds under any circumstances, and the Terms say so plainly.

The platform choice is strong for futures traders. You get Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, Sierra Chart and Quantower, with CME Level 1 data included according to the 2025 help centre. There’s nothing here for MetaTrader users.

Funded traders get a 90/10 split and can request payouts up to twice a month once they meet the consistency rule. After the second payout Legends moves you to a live funded account at the same split. There’s no scaling plan. Payout caps per cycle and the minimum payout vary by plan and have changed over time, so check the current figures in the dashboard. Positions must be closed before the session ends, and hedging across accounts is policed hard.

The Propify Index scores Legends Trading at 65.8/100, 4 Stars (“Great”). It scores well on Cost & Value (15/20) and Trading Conditions (19/30) thanks to low prices, a 6% profit target and no time limit. It loses points on transparency, because the owners aren’t named on the site, and on the trailing drawdown, the lack of any fee refund and the absence of a scaling plan.

Rules Deconstructed

A detailed breakdown of the specific trading rules found in the database.

The "Hidden" Rules (Funded Accounts Only)

The evaluation is simple. The Master account adds these conditions:

Consistency on Payouts

You can only request a payout once you meet the consistency rule. Third party reviews put it at 35% on Apprentice Master and 40% on Elite Master. Verify in dashboard.

Payout Caps per Cycle

Each payout is capped by account size. The 2025 help centre showed $1,500 to $2,750 per request, with a $1,000 minimum on the first two payouts. More recent third party data differs. Verify in dashboard.

Intraday Only

All positions must be closed before the session ends. No overnight or weekend holding on any account.

Drawdown & Loss Limits

Legends uses an End of Day Trailing Drawdown, not Static.

Max Loss: EOD Trailing

Elite: $1,250 ($25k) / $2,200 ($50k) / $3,000 ($100k) / $4,500 ($150k). Apprentice: $2,000 ($50k) / $3,000 ($100k) / $4,500 ($150k). The floor moves up with your closing balance each day and never moves down.

Daily Loss Limit

None during the evaluation on either plan. Third party reviews report a daily loss limit on Elite Master accounts of $700 to $3,000 depending on size. Verify in dashboard.

Prohibited Strategies

Cross Account Hedging

Holding long in one account and short in another at the same time is banned, and enforcement is strict.

Flipping, Spoofing & Sim Exploits

Flipping, spoofing, exploiting simulator fills and using very tight brackets or auto breakeven to farm fills are all prohibited.

Automated & Copy Trading

Policy unclear. Several reviews say bots are prohibited, while others say automation is allowed. Confirm with support before running any automated strategy.

Payout Policy

Payouts up to twice a month (timing unverified)

Payout Schedule & Speed

Request Window

Up to twice per month, once the consistency rule is met. Under the 2025 policy, 10 trading days were needed before the first request and between requests.

Processing Time

Under the 2025 policy, requests made on the 1st to 5th were paid on the 15th, and requests made on the 15th to 20th were paid at month end. Payouts go through Rise according to third party reviews. Verify in dashboard.

Profit Split & Scaling

Starting Split

90%

Scaling Potential

No scaling plan. Legends moves you to a live funded account after your second payout, keeping the 90/10 split.

Refunds

None. Legends has a strict no refund policy on all evaluation and activation fees.

Pros & Cons

The Good

Very Low Cost

$227 for a $100k Elite with no activation fee, or $158.90 with code LTG. That's around $2.27 per $1,000 of account size.

Five Futures Platforms

Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, Sierra Chart and Quantower are all supported.

No Daily Loss Limit on Evaluation

Neither plan has a daily loss limit during the evaluation, so a bad morning doesn't end the attempt.

Live Capital After Two Payouts

Traders move to a live funded account after the second payout and keep the 90/10 split.

The Bad

EOD Trailing Drawdown

Your loss limit rises with your closing balance, so profits tighten the room you have left.

No Refunds

Evaluation and activation fees are never refunded, even after a payout.

Opaque Ownership

The owners aren't named on the site, and the Terms mix up two entity names and cite the laws of "PR".

Strict Enforcement

Reviews describe accounts closed for brief cross account overlaps. Read the prohibited conduct rules in full.

The Math

Legends Cost: $2.27 per $1,000 of buying power. Industry Average: around $5.00 to $5.50 per $1,000. Verdict: you're paying roughly 55% less than the industry average. Remember that the real risk budget on a $100k futures account is the $3,000 trailing drawdown, not $100,000 of capital, so comparisons with FX firms flatter futures firms generally.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Q: What’s the difference between Apprentice and Elite?
A: Apprentice is a monthly subscription ($50k to $150k) with an activation fee once you pass, no consistency rule during the evaluation and the option to pass in one day. Elite is a one-off payment ($25k to $150k) with no activation fee, a 40% consistency rule and slightly different profit targets and drawdowns. Both are single step evaluations with an end of day trailing drawdown and no daily loss limit.
  • Q: Is the evaluation fee refunded?
A: No. Legends has a strict no refund policy. Neither the evaluation fee nor the Apprentice activation fee is refunded, even after a payout.
  • Q: Is there a consistency rule?
A: Yes on Elite, where no single day can make up more than 40% of your profit during the evaluation. Apprentice has no consistency rule during the evaluation. On Master accounts you must meet a consistency rule before each payout (reported at 35% for Apprentice and 40% for Elite). Verify in dashboard.
  • Q: Can I trade the news?
A: Yes during evaluations. On Master accounts, third party reviews report that tier 1 news is off limits for Apprentice Master accounts and allowed on Elite Master accounts. Verify in dashboard before trading a major release.
  • Q: Can I use bots or automated strategies?
A: The policy isn’t clear. Some reviews say automation is banned and others say it’s allowed. Confirm with Legends support in writing before running any automated strategy.
  • Q: How often can I get paid?
A: Up to twice a month once you meet the consistency rule. The 2025 help centre policy paid requests made on the 1st to 5th on the 15th, and requests made on the 15th to 20th at month end.
  • Q: Can I hold trades overnight?
A: No. All positions must be closed before the session ends, and weekend holding isn’t allowed.
  • Q: Which platforms can I use?
A: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, Sierra Chart and Quantower. MetaTrader and cTrader aren’t available.
  • Q: Is Legends Trading regulated, and are the accounts real?
A: We found no regulatory authorisation for Legends Trading itself. Evaluation and Master accounts are simulated, as its CFTC Rule 4.41 disclosure makes clear. Legends says traders move to a live funded account after their second payout. Its CEO also runs GFF Brokers, an NFA member introducing broker, but that registration doesn’t cover the prop firm.
